This was supposed to be a cracker of a match as both the teams had won a match each.Bangladeshi's had one the first one day international convincingly whereas Zimbabweans fought back pretty well during the second ODI when they chased down a competitive total.Lets now take a closer look at the Batting and Bowling Performance Reviews of both the teams along with the Results of the match that took place on 08/05/2013.
Bangladesh Batting
When the Bangladeshi's came into bat they looked wobbly to start with and at one stage they were in a spot of bother at a score of 84/4.Nasir Hossain and Mahamudullah steadied things up for them quite well as they both tackled the Zimbabwean bowling expertly.They made a score of 63 Runs of 74 Balls and 75 Runs of 73 Balls respectively.Watching them bat especially after they kept loosing regular wickets was a treat as they ensured they helped Bangladesh reach a target of 247 for 9 in their 50 overs which was quite competitive.
Zimbabwe Bowling
Zimbabwean bowling was good to start with as they picked up four wickets quickly but once again just like most of their previous ODI'S they had no answer to the batting of Nasir Hossain who has been consistent throughout the tournament.He has taken his team out of trouble numerous times.The best highlights of Zimbabwean bowling was Brian Vitori,Kyle Jarvis and Tendai Chatara who picked up 2 wickets each.
Zimbabwe Batting
When the Zimbabweans started to bat they were quite steady with their approach and had an excellent opening partnership which laid down a superb foundation for them to chase down the target easily towards the end.All their top 5 batsman apart from Brendan Taylor made enough runs for them to reach the target.Their best batsman was Vusi Sibanda who made a score of 103 Runs from 135 Balls.
Bangladesh Bowling
I felt the Bangladesh bowling could have done a little better but things didn't seem to go their way today as Zimbabwe reached the target quite comfortably.The only highlights of their bowling were Ziaur Rahman and Mahmudullah who i think bowled very well but i must admit looking at the pitch a Zimbabwean Victory was expected when the target was known.
