Epic (2013) Movie Review and Analysis

When i think about the best animated movies i have watched in the past, Ice Age and Rio top the list.  Them being the creators of this film was a reason enough for me to take some time off to go and watch this 3D computer animated fantasy-adventure, comedy-drama film that featured the voice of Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, Beyonce Knowles, Josh Hutcherson among others.  Read on for the complete Epic (2013) Movie Review and Analysis.

Review

After watching the trailer i had mixed expectations from the movie as i was a little worried that the film might end up being very similar to Brave (Which was fantastic,) but i was happy to see this one was pleasantly different and once again proved that animated films most of the times have a strong emotional storyline.

Epic was another one of those cute family entertainers that revolved around a teenager who found herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the good and evil took place after which she assembled a team with a different set to characters to fight evil.

The acting and the chemistry among the characters of the film was one of its best features with Seyfried, Knowles, Farrell and Hutcherson leading from the front.  As i said earlier the film was an emotional roller coaster ride and the 3d aspect of it was a truly amazing experience.  Apart from acting, the Direction, Screenplay and visual were very appealing to watch as well.

Final Thoughts

To sum it all up, if you want to cry, laugh, get thrilled, get strongly inspired then this is the film which you cannot afford to miss and if you are one of those who think animated movies are the ones children should be watching, i would still recommend you to watch the film as this might change your perspective.
