KKR Vs RR 03/05/2013 - Results,Review and Statistical Highlights
Kolkata Knight Riders were coming back after a string of losses and this was a must win game for them if they wanted to make it to the playoffs, the advantage for them tonight was that they were playing on their home ground at Eden Gardens.Rajasthan Royals on the other hand would love to keep their momentum going.Lets now take a closer look at the Batting and Bowling Reviews of each teams along with the results of the match.
RR Batting
Rajasthan Royals batting was pretty slow as the pitch was offering a lot of assistance to the bowlers.I felt they did well throughout the innings to reach a target that didn't look too threatening but at the same time scores below these had also been defended during the Tournament.Sanju Samson came good for them once again as he made a score of 40 Runs from 36 Balls.Kolkata Knight Riders looked clueless to his batting at times as at a certain point during the match he ripped their bowling apart.
KKR Bowling
Kolkata Knight Riders Bowling was good in patches,Even though they managed to pick up wickets at regular intervals i felt they could have contained the Rajasthan Royals for 15-20 Runs less than they actually gave away. The highlights of their bowling were S Senanayake who picked up 2 Wickets.
KKR Batting
If we look at the IPL6 tournament so far the Kolkata Knight Riders have not done consistently well with their batting but the total they had to chase today was something that didn't require them to go all guns blazing. At the same time the pitch was offering a bit of assistance so it was bound to get a little tough. In between their batting innings there was a fight or an argument between Manvinder Bisla-Shane Watson and Rahul Dravid for some reason.I think it was because Bisla didn't like Shane Watson scaring him that he will throw a ball at him when he hit the ball straight towards him.The best part of their batting was Yusuf Pathan who blew Rajasthan Royals Away as he helped his team attain a comfortable win on 03/05/2013.
RR Bowling
Rajasthan Royals Bowlers struggled throughout the innings as they couldn't find the right line and length to bowl on a pitch which had a little on it for the spinners. This gave the Kolkata Knight Riders and advantage to really dominate and bat the men in blue out of the match which they did comfortably towards the end.The best bowler for them today was Shane Watson who picked up a wicket.
