RCB Vs KKR 12/05/2013 - Results, Review and Statistical Highlights
This 60th Indian Premier League T20 Cricket match was very important for both the teams. Kolkata Knight Riders were looking for a way to get into the playoffs while Royal Challengers Bangalore were looking to cement their place in the top four as they were in the fourth spot which put them in danger of being out of the playoffs.Lets now take a closer look at the Batting and Bowling Performance Reviews of the match that took place on 12/05/2013.
RCB Batting
Royal Challengers Bangalore batting was very slow, the main reason behind it looked to be the pitch which made it difficult for the batsmen to score freely. Unfortunately no Gayle Storm today, In fact there was absolutely no one from the team who was able to bat freely. The best highlights of their innings was Chris Gayle but he only managed a score of 33 Runs from 36 Balls. They only managed a score of 115/9 in 20 Overs.
KKR Bowling
Kolkata Knight Riders bowling was superb, They understood what the pitch had to offer and banked on their strengths. All of their bowlers chipped in and ensured they kept a check on the Royal Challengers Bangalore batting throughout. The best highlights of their batting were Sunil Narine and L Balaji who picked up 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
KKR Batting
Kolkata Knight Riders batting much like Royal Challengers Bangalore was very slow throughout as the pitch was more slow during the second innings, However the total they were looking to reach was not very demanding and required only one good partnership for them to win the match. Jacques Kallis ensured he batted around the other batsman to win the match comfortably.
RCB Bowling
I have no complains about the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling. They stuck to their task but the amount of runs they made was very less which made it very easy for the Kolkata Knight Riders to win the match in the end to keep their hopes of the Playoffs alive.
