RCB Vs PWI 02/05/2013 - Results,Review and Statistical Highlights
This encounter was one of the anticipated one for many reasons. One of which was because Royal Challengers Bangalore had a very poor track record outside their home turf.Pune Warriors India on the other hand had a dismal tournament so far.Without waiting any further lets now take a look at the Batting and Bowling Reviews of each team along with the Results of the match that took place on 02/05/2013.
RCB Batting
Royal Challengers Bangalore had a very slow beginning but gained momentum towards the middle and the end part of their innings.Pune Warriors India didn't seem to learn from their previous matches as they once again leaked a lot of Runs towards the last ten overs of the match when AB De Villiers and Moises Henriques went berserk. They were undoubtedly the highlights of their innings as they ensured their team reached a very stiff target.
PWI Bowling
The story of Indian Premier League 6 for the Pune Warriors India has been poor bowling. They didn't disappoint today either as they bowling went from bad to worst with Ashok Dinda Conceding 25+ runs in his last over.He did manage to pick up two wickets but it looked like a wasted effort considering the amount of Runs the Royal Challengers Bangalore were able to make through him.
PWI Batting
When the Pune Warriors India came into bat they were facing a very tough target and as usual they lost a lot of wickets in a jiffy but Robin Uthappa and Angelo Matthews Partnership got them right back in the game as they always kept the team within the striking distance but after Uthappa's wicket fell their hopes of a win also diminished.
RCB Bowling
Royal Challengers bowling was not at all impressive as they went for a lot of runs despite picking up a lot of wickets.None of their bowlers had any answers to the batting of Angelo Matthews and Robin Uthappa as they tormented them throughout but couldn't quite get the job done.Their best bowler was Vinay Kumar who picked up three wickets.
