RR Vs PWI 05/05/2013 - Results,Review and Statistical Highlights
Chennai Super Kings' loss earlier in the day seems to have shuffled the teams within the points table which meant the Rajasthan Royals needed to win this in order to reclaim their spot in the top 4 teams.Pune Warriors India on the hand in all probability are out of the tournament which meant they didn't have any pressure on them.Lets now take a closer look at the Batting and Bowling performance review along with the results of the match.
PWI Batting
For the first time in the IPL6 Tournament i saw the Pune Warriors India bat this good.Everything they did during their innings seemed to be the right one. They started their innings with a good opening partnership and ended with a flourish just how its supposed to be in an T20 match.Rajasthan Royals at times looked clueless as it looked like they were not expecting such a superb display of batting.
RR Bowling
Rajasthan Royals bowling was very mediocre from the start as they ended up leaking a lot of runs to the Pune Warriors India. After watching them bowl i cannot understand what made Rahul Dravid say he would like to bowl first as they pitch was clearly good for batting.
RR Batting
Rajasthan Royals batting was excellent as they absolutely destroyed the Pune Warriors India Bowling.Rahul Dravid came out to bat with his partner Ajinkya Rahane and had a brilliant opening partnership that ensured they laid a strong foundation for others to help them win the match comfortably
PWI Bowling
Pune Warriors India bowling was out of sorts again despite them dropping Ashok Dinda who had been expensive throughout the tournament. The pitch was too good for batting and Rajasthan Royals did well to exploit their weak bowling.
