Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Mumbai Indians 01/05/2013 - Results,Review and Statistical Highlights
The cricket match between the SRH and MI was bound to be a cracker of a game as both the teams had their positives as well as negatives.A lot was expected from the battle between the world's best batsman (Sachin Tendulkar) and the world's best bowler (Dale Steyn).Lets now take a closer look at how they
performed today.MI Batting
MI batting was very slow today because the pitch was offering a lot of assistance to the bowlers. However they managed to make a score of 129 which looked quite competitive but at the same time was not that threatening.Sachin Tendulkar failed with the bat once again as he was bowled by Ishant Sharma. The highlights of their batting was Dwayne Smith who made 38 Runs from 40 Balls which was a great effort considering how tough the pitch was to bat on.Ambati Rayadu gave the finishing touches to the innings after he made a brilliant 34 Runs from 27 Balls which really gave a boost to their score.
SRH Bowling
Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling was up to the mark throughout as they ensured to keep a check on the Mumbai Indians batting throughout. The highlights of their bowling was Ishant Sharma and Amit Mishra who picked up 2 Wickets each.Dale Steyn tried his best but once again went wicket less.I really hope he finds some form as he is undoubtedly the best bowler in the world.
SRH Batting
SRH lost a wicket early but came into the match very well when Kumar Sangakkara and Shikar Dhawan batted together. They did have a hiccup when they lost the wicket of Sangakkara but Dhawan carried his innings through as he made a half century and along with Hanuma Vishara chased down the target quite comfortably towards the end.
MI Bowling
MI Bowling was out of sorts today,Probably because they had a very small target to defend.Rohit Sharma tried to to experiment with Dwayne Smith to pick a wicket when Dhawan was batting but the over ended with smith giving away 15 Runs. His 100% record of winning 2 out of 2 matches as captain unfortunately came to an abrupt end.
