WWE Smackdown 17/05/2013 - Results, Review and Analysis

WWE Smackdown 17/05/2013 was the last show to air before Extreme Rules because of which a lot of progress within major storylines was expected.  Another reason why this show was one of the most important shows for World Wrestling entertainment was because this was expected to give a reason why fans should watch the Extreme Rules Pay Per View.  Read on for the Complete Results,  Review and Analysis of the show that airs on Friday Nights.

Results and Review

The Friday Night WWE Smackdown 17/05/2013 started with the Miz TV which included Randy Orton and Big Show as guests.  Miz asked Orton about his RKO after which Big Show said he will not need weapons to defeat Orton at Extreme Rules.  He further claimed that he would first Knock down Orton but was soon interrupted by Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter.  Colter said that Jack Swagger will be the highlight of Extreme Rules after he wins his "I Quit" match against Alberto Del Rio,  who soon came out and made fun of Colter.

Mark Henry then made his way out to the ring and said he will drag and beat Sheamus during Extreme Rules as that's what he does.  To sum it all up Sheamus was the last one to interrupt as he chased him away courtesy of a strap.  A match was then set between Randy Orton, Sheamus and Del Dio Vs The Big Show, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger.

A backstage segment during the show saw Teddy Long with Damien Sandow and the Miz.  Sandow proposed an idea of creating "The Damien Sandow Show"  which ended with The Miz and him having an argument.  A match was then setup between Damien Sandow and The Miz.

After the match between Chris Jericho and Antonio Cesaro,  Jack Swagger appeared on the titan tron with Zen Colter.  Colter complained about the government and said that Del Rio was not an American.  He also wanted to know if Dolph Ziggler was really injured or scared.  The Segment ended with Colter saying Real Americans never quit,  but Del Rio will.
