England Batting on 05/06/2013 was quite decent but they looked to be a little over cautious which resulted in them getting less runs then they could have, most of the pace in their innings came towards the end when Eoin Morgan and Jos Butler were in a partnership. The best highlights of their batting were Ian Bell who made a score of 82 Runs, Eoin Morgan and Jos Butler also chipped in towards the end as they scored 49 and 47 runs respectively as they reached a score of 287 in their 50 overs, The target they set however didn't look secure enough for them to have a guarantee that the results will go in their favor as the black caps were in good form.
England were playing with Stuart Broad, Steven Finn and James Tredwell which meant they had a good flexibility in their bowling attack, almost all they bowlers chipped in with vital wickets to secure a win with the best highlights being James Tredwell who picked up 3 wickets.
New Zealand Bowling and Batting
New Zealand bowling on 05/06/2013 was very good to start with as they contained the batsmen very well, however they gave away a massive amount of runs towards the end of the match which resulted in them being given a target of 288 to chase. The best highlights of their bowling was Mitchell McClenaghan who picked up 3 wickets but the amount of runs they gave away towards the end had a big question mark on which team's favor the results will go in.
When the black caps came into bat they were not chasing a massive target but it still required for their batsmen to play well if they were looking to chase it down, They had a good start but lost wickets at crucial moments as the game slipped away from them. The highlights of their batting was Ross Taylor who scored 71.
