Statistical Highlights
This match had all the makings of being a quarter final as a lot depended on its results, Depending on the outcome of this match it was going to be either South Africa or West Indies who were about to make it through to the Semi Finals. The odds however looked to be in favor of the Windies as they had a lot of power hitters who were suited for a shorter format. Lets now take a closer look at the Batting and Bowling performance reviews of the match that took place today (14/06/2013.)
South Africa Batting and Bowling
South Africa's batting was phenomenal as their openers laid a very good foundation for their remaining batsmen to really attack the bowling. Since the game was just 31 overs it was very important for the proteas to take risks throughout to set a decent total for the WI to chase down. The best highlights of their batting was Colin Ingram who made a score of 73 as they set a target of 231 for windies to chase down. The results still looked to be unpredictable as the WI power hitters were capable of chasing it down.
Proteas bowling was very disappointing today as they gave away a lot of runs throughout. Despite picking up early wickets they just could not contain the windies power hitters especially Marlon Samuels. The best highlights of their bowling was Dale Steyn who picked up 2 wickets.

West Indies Bowling and Batting
West Indies bowling on 14/06/2013 was disappointing as they bowled very short and could not capitalize on the moisture that was there in the pitch. They leaked away a lot of runs and were eventually set a target, which was neither easy to reach nor tough. The best highlights of their bowling was Dwayne Bravo as he picked up 2 wickets.
When the Windies came out to bat they proved why they were the T20 world champions. They performed brilliantly with the bat but unfortunately the rain came down once again and the match ended up being a tie as per Duckward lewis system with WI at a score of 190/6. This means that the proteas will now be in the semi finals.
