WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013 - Results,Review and Analysis

WWE Smackdown that will air on 21/06/2013 was taped on Tuesday Night and took place from the Wright State University's Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.  The Episode was the first Smackdown show post WWE Payback and was expected to shed some light on the storylines as we move on towards WWE's Next PPV.

Almost all the matches turned out to be great and as far as the storylines were concerned, we got to see a few more rants from Daniel Bryan claiming that he was not the weak link.  Read on for the complete WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013 Results along with a review and Analysis of the show

WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013: Results and Review

The Show on 21/06/2013 kicked off with Daniel Bryan in the ring, he was upset because his match against Randy Orton at Raw was called off.  He blamed Orton as the real culprit behind all this after which a footage from Raw was shown in the titan tron.  Bryan went on to further say that he was not the weak link and would prove the same after he beat orton at WWE Friday Night Smackdown on 21/06/2013.  

WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013: Orton's Explanation 

Randy Orton came out to the ring to give Daniel Bryan his explanation.  He told Bryan that the only reason the match was stopped was because there was a concern regarding Bryan's well Being and Orton also claimed that he respected Bryan, who responded by saying that he thought Randy just had pity for him and nothing else.

Orton then told Bryan he was out of line and also claimed that after the results of their match Bryan will need to be carried out.

WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013: Sheamus Vs Cody Rhodes Results

The match between Sheamus and Cody Rhodes ended with the Celtic Warrior using the submission hold "Texas Cloverleaf" to win the match comfortably in the end.  

Post Results, Damien Sandow attacked Sheamus as their feud continued.  It will be interesting to see where the feud ends in the upcoming weeks.

A Video Snippet of the Wyatt family was then shown.

WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013: Curtis Axel Vs Wade Barrett Results

The new intercontinental champion Curtis Axel proved his dominance once again as he beat Wade barrett to retain his title.  

The Miz who was on commentary didn't look too amused and wanted to face Axel in the ring.  His wish however was denied by Paul Heyman, who pulled Axel away from the ring.

A recap of Mark Henry - John Cena Fall out from Raw was then shown.

The next match was scheduled to be between Kaitlyn and Natalya.  Before the start of the match, A video snippet of AJ's Secret Admirer bluff on Kaitlyn was shown.  The New WWE Divas champion comfortably defeated Natalya through her submission hold 'Black Widow' as another week passed by.

It was obvious that Kaitlyn was not amused with the results showing AJ's Victory. Aksana somewhat ignited the fuel when she teased Kaitlyn about AJ's Win.  On hearing her tease, Kaitlyn went berserk and attacked Aksana to put her back to her place.

WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013: Alberto Del Rio Vs Chris Jericho Results

I had huge expectations of this match as both the superstars were a couple of my favorites.  Before the match officially got under way a footage of Ziggler's attack on Del Rio at Raw was shown.  

Del Rio eventually won the match but after the match was over, Dolph Ziggler came out to attack him.  Ziggler was hit by Jericho with a code breaker and was superkicked by Del Rio.

WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013: Christian's Return

Christian's first match post return at WWE Smackdown on 21/06/2013 was against Drew McIntyre.  Christian used Killswitch to win the match towards the end.  Post announcement of results, he claimed that he was happy to be back on Smackdown in front of his peeps and wanted to have another match.

The Shield then came out through the crowd and overpowered him  as they gave captain charisma his first power triple Power Bomb post return.

WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013: Paul Heyman's interview

A backstage segment saw Renee Young asking Paul Heyman about Lesnar's attack on CM Punk.  Heyman asked Renee about her family and confirmed that he and Punk are friends after which he bragged about Axel's intercontinental championship.

There is definitely something going on between Paul Heyman and CM Punk, Despite Heyman denying any rift, i am sure most of the fans will be thinking that it was definitely his idea to get Brock attack Punk.

WWE Smackdown 21/06/2013: Randy Orton Vs Daniel Bryan Results

WWE always saves the best for last and at Smackdown 21/06/2013 it was Randy Orton Vs Daniel Bryan.  The match was quite controversial towards the end as Bryan won the match via countout.  Bryan wanted the match to be restarted but the referee refused as the results went in his favor.
