Zim's batting kicked off quite well with both their openers (Vusi Sibanda and Sikandar Raza) applying themselves and giving them a very good opening stand of 72 Runs. Their run rate however was too slow throughout the innings which resulted in them getting very less runs in comparision to what they should have actually got to try and end the results in their favor. The best highlights of their batting was Raza who made a score of 82 Runs, Elton Chigumbura did quite well towards the end of their innings scoring 43 (34) to help them really push their target towards the score of 228 which didn't look too challenging for Ind. Ind's batting had a stuttery start as they lost their openers relatively early.
