Half Life 2 Oculus Rift update released
Half Life 2 Oculus Rift update has been released by Valve. The patch adds Steampipe (New content distribution system) to this superhit first person shooter and will also allow the game to work with Virtual Reality Headsets.
Joe Ludwig who is a programmer at Valve and was the lead of the virtual reality development within the company confirmed the news in the forums last week.He also warned about the Port being more raw than the Oculus Rift patch of Team Fortress and requested for some fan feedback.
The known issues with the patch so far are
- Heads up display being hard to read
- Zoom UI showing up in a quad within the middle of the screen instead of the edges.
The amazing part of this first person shooter (HL2) video game is that despite it releasing in 2005 it continues to receive these many updates and until now has not lost its steam.
What are your thoughts about the Half Life 2 Oculus Rift update?
