West Indies Vs Pakistan 14/07/2013 - Results, Review and Statistical Highlights

The ODI Cricket match between West Indies and Pakistan on 14/07/2013 kicked off with WI inning the toss and electing to field first.  The match was delayed by rain but no overs were deducted as the ground staff did a brilliant job in getting the ground ready for play in time.  Read on for the complete West Indies Vs Pakistan 14/07/2013 Results along with the Batting and Bowling Performance review, Scorecard and Statistical Highlights of the match.

Statistical Highlights

This was a match between two ideal opponents as both were coming into the match after a string of loses.  While Pak had a torrid time int he champions Trophy, WI were one step ahead as they didn't have favorable results in the last two series.

Pak's batting was once again disappointing as they fell like a pack of cards.  At one stage they were at a score of 47 for 5 but thankfully for them they were playing a more experienced player in the form of Shahid Afridi on 14/07/2013 who found no problems whatsoever in tearing the WI bowling apart.  He was the best highlights of their innings as he made a score of 76 of just 55 balls and was well supported by Misbah Ul Haq who scored a very slow 52 of 121 balls to help them reach a target of 224 in their allocated 50 overs.
Cricket

The best highlights of the WI bowling was Jason Holder who blew Pak top order away with wonderful figures of 4 for 13 in his 10 overs.  He was supported well by Keamer Roach and Dwayne Bravo who picked up two wickets each as they restricted the Pakistanis well and the results looked to be favoring WI at this point.

WI's batting just like Pak was blown away.  They never found any rhythm or momentum to really threaten the target.  Apart from Darren Sammy's 21 and Marlon Samules' 25 there was not much of a contribution from the others as their innings folded for 98 giving Pak a huge victory in their first match.

The best highlights of Pak's bowling was Shahid Afridi who picked up 7 wickets, Mohammed Irfan picked up two to lay the foundation for the spinners to really go for the kill.
