The first match that kicked off on Sunday Night was the ladder match for a shot at the World Heavyweight championship.  Most of the ladder matches are ruthless and this was no exception. The match as expected went back and forth but towards the end just when Cody set up a ladder to climb towards the briefcase, he was shoved by Sandow who eventually claimed the briefcase for a win, This mean Sandow will get a shot at the Heavyweight championship at any time he wishes to.

Post the MITB Ladder match, Cody was shocked with Sandow's actions while Sandow stared back at him.

Justin Roberts was then seen in the ring asking the Audience in Philadelphia to give the following person a warm welcome.  Out came the Raw General Manager Brad Maddox who spoke about Vickie Guerrero being fired and claimed that he had decided to put Vickie in the pre and post show panel during the MITB night.  He then put a spotlight on vickie and asked her to take a bow.

Vickie was clearly not happy.  Maddox thanked her for accepting the secondary position and tried to rub salt in the wound.  Maddox then showed an insulting  tribute video on the screen which mocked Vickie after which The Miz came out to the ring for his match against Curtis Axel for the intercontinental championship.

Post match, Ziggler went berserk as AJ looked shocked.  She apologized as Ziggler spoke to the referee.  Ziggler and AJ argued after which Ziggler left the ring without AJ.

The next match of the MITB night on 14/07/2013 was between Mark Henry and John Cena.  The results saw John Cena re claiming his WWE title as he locked an STF on Henry after which he tapped out.

The final match at the Money in the Bank 14/07/2013 Pay Per view as the ladder match for the WWE title.  The results of this match went in favor of Randy Orton in a close finish where it could have either been him or Rob Van Dam who could have won the briefcase.  The match was eventually won by Orton as he planted an RKO mid air on RVD and claimed the briefcase.
