SRH Vs KKR 19/05/0213 Results and Statistical Highlights
Kolkata Knight Riders were out of the Season 6 of the Indian Premier League while Sunrisers Hyderabad needed a victory today if they needed to secure a place for the Playoffs because of RCB'S win over CSK last night. Even though they would remain at equal points with RCB incase they lost their match today their runrate was so low that they would end up being out. Lets now take a closer look at the batting and bowling performance reviews along with the results of the match.
KKR Batting
Watching the Kolkata Knight Riders bat i thought they never gained any momentum throughout their innings. There was no one else apart from Yusuf Pathan who was able to play well. He was the best highlights of their innings as he ended at a score of 49 Runs to help the men in violet post a score of 130 which was about par at the pitch they were playing on.
There was a minor incident or an argument between Yusuf Pathan and Dale Steyn after Pathan hit him for a six and made a gesture of clapping. What actually happened as per what the commentators said was that Yusuf Pathan was asking the crowd to clap for him after he hit a six which Dale Steyn thought was directed to him, this led to a heated argument towards the end of Steyn's over. Nothing Major happened but this moment was fun to watch.
SRH Bowling
Despite Ishant Sharma missing a game as he was ill, the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowled superbly with Dale Steyn leading from the front as he picked up 2 wickets. Anand Rajan who replaced Sharma also bowled well as he picked up a wicket.
SRH Batting
Sunrisers Hyderabad batting was brilliant with Shikar Dhawan and Parthiv Patel having a good opening partnership as they laid the foundation for the remaining batsmen to easily reach the target. They had a target of just 131 to chase which was not going to be easy but they reached it quite comfortably in the end to make a spot for themselves in the playoffs.
KKR Bowling
Kolkata Knight Riders bowling was totally haywire, they never found the right line and length and none of their star bowlers delivered when they really needed it today. I must admit i had a lot of expectations from Sunil Narine on this pitch but unfortunately it wasn't his day today.
