Statistical Highlights

The Lankans batted well throughout throughout courtesy of the Kumar Sangakka who made a brilliant 169 of just 137 balls.  His innings really broke the back of SA's bowling attack as he single handedly hit them all around the park.  SL eventually managed a score of 321 in their 50 overs which meant that the Proteas needed to bat well throughout their innings to get close to the target if they needed to pull the results in their favor.  The best highlights of the proteas bowling was Morne Morkel who was quite economical and picked up 2 wickets.

SA's Batting on 20/07/2013 was disappointing right from the first ball as they started their innings on a negative note by losing a wicket.  Their batting showed how dependent they have been on Hashim Amla over the past few years to help them get good starts.  The only notable highlights of their batting was Robin Peterson who made a score of 29 Runs.  The best bowler from SL was Thisara Perera who picked up 3 wickets to ensure results stayed with them throughout.
